Ex-Mastodon<\/a> singer\/guitarist Brent Hinds<\/a> has once again taken to social media to disparage his former bandmates, while also confirming that he was indeed kicking out of the band.<\/p>\n

Hinds previously called his ex-bandmates \u201chorrible humans\u201d<\/a> in a comment on an Instagram post back in June. Now Hinds has taken to the comment section of another post<\/a> \u2014 a clip of Mastodon performing \u201cCrack the Skye\u201d in Maryland in 2012 \u2014 he\u2019s shared more derogatory remarks and confirmed that he was kicked out of the band, rather than \u201cmutually\u201d parting ways<\/a>\u00a0as initially reported.<\/p>\n

Hinds comment reads:<\/p>\n

\u201cMy Guitar sounds great, but Troy and prawn [aka Brann Dailor] sound absolutely horrible ..they are way out of key ..embarrassing and they kicked me out of the band for embarrassing them for being who I am ..but what about who they are ? They are two people that can\u2019t sing..together live or anywhere else in the world ..everything they try to sing in the studio is manipulated by autotune because they\u2019re incapable of singing in key..fuck these guys ..only I know who they really are ..they are the biggest fans of them self\u2019s .. I\u2019ve never seen anyone in my life look in the mirror more than Troy Sanders. He thinks he\u2019s God\u2019s gift to anything. I\u2019ve never met three people that were so full of themselves. It\u2019s disgusting.\u201d<\/p>\n

He then added with a laugh-cry emoji: \u201cNot saying I can sing tho.\u201d<\/p>\n

So far, the other members of Mastodon have taken the high road, refraining from publicly replying to Hinds\u2019 comments. In their initial statement about his exit, they shared: \u201c\u2026we wish him nothing but success and happiness in his future endeavors.\u201d<\/p>\n

Hinds has already turned the page \u2014 musically, at least \u2014 playing shows with his other bands<\/a>. Meanwhile, Mastodon have continued on with their scheduled tours and shows, landing on guitar virtuoso Nick Johnston<\/a> as a touring replacement for Hinds.<\/p>\n
