After concluding their 2026 NFL Draft with eight picks, the New Orleans Saints<\/a> got to work in adding undrafted rookie players. On Sunday, the Saints announced that they had signed 10 rookie free agents, nine of whom were previously reported<\/a>:<\/p>\n

RB CJ Donaldson, Ohio State<\/p>\n

DE Michael Heldman, Central Michigan<\/p>\n

CB DeShawn Jones, Alabama<\/p>\n

CB Jeremiah McClendon, Southern Illinois<\/p>\n

DT Jay’Viar Suggs, Wisconsin<\/p>\n

OT Alex Wollschlaeger, Kentucky<\/p>\n

It was also reported that the Saints signed free agent edge rusher Anfernee Jennings on Sunday<\/a>, formerly of the New England Patriots<\/a>. These additions bring the Saints roster total to 91 players counting their draft picks. They’ll need to be at 90 players by the start of minicamp in June.<\/p>\n

The Saints have historically had a lot of success with undrafted wide receivers (Lance Moore<\/a>, Brandon Coleman<\/a>, Willie Snead<\/a>, Marquez Callaway<\/a>, Deonte Harris<\/a>, Rashid Shaheed<\/a>). New Orleans<\/a> has not signed any undrafted receivers so far. However, the Saints did draft three with Jordyn Tyson in the first round, Bryce Young<\/a> in the fourth, and Barion Brown<\/a> in the sixth. The Saints also added three defensive linemen after using a second-round choice on Christen Miller of Georgia. Former West Virginia and Ohio State back CJ Donaldson was the only running back added in either the draft or undrafted acquisitions.<\/p>\n
