Picture: Ethan Miller\/Getty Images<\/p>\n While Irwin has maintained his base remains at Australia Zoo, questions are being raised over whether the US offers are creating a constant tug of war for his time.<\/p>\n The conservationist previously said he \u201ccouldn\u2019t wait\u201d to leave Los Angeles following his Dancing With The Stars win, returning to his 12,900-hectare home at Australia Zoo. <\/p>\n The zoo, worth an estimated $25m, doubles as a sanctuary for more than 1200 animals on Queensland\u2019s Sunshine Coast.<\/p>\n Speaking with The West Australian<\/a>, the TV presenter admitted that the three months he spent living on the West Coast reminded him of how much he loved Australia.<\/p>\n \u201cBeing in L.A. for the last three months has been wonderful, but I am not a city kid,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n \u201cI live out in the bush and have grown up there, so it\u2019s good to be back where there\u2019s a bit of greenery. I couldn\u2019t wait to get here, actually.\u201d<\/p>\n Irwin previously confessed that he \u201ccouldn\u2019t wait\u201d to leave LA following his Dancing With The Stars win. Picture: Eric McCandless\/Disney via Getty Images<\/p>\n Irwin and his family have been honouring his father, Steve \u2014 who died at 44 after a stingray accident \u2014 through their work at the zoo. <\/p>\n Last year, the zookeeper told Travel + Leisure the land makes him feel closer to his late father.<\/p>\n \u201cIt is where I feel his energy and his passion more than anywhere else,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n \u201cIf Australia were a person, it would be my dad.<\/p>\n \u201cTo love your wildlife, to be passionate, to have that spirit of mateship and camaraderie with everyone.
