A jujitsu black belt holder has pulled off a dramatic citizen’s arrest of a man accused of stealing a tiny home on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Two tiny homes were reported missing from a rural property in Cooran on Sunday morning.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Later that day, about 50 kilometres south in Bli Bli, Eduardo Giraldes was riding his electric skateboard when he noticed a tiny home on a trailer parked on a nearby street.\u00a0<\/p>\n

When he got home, he saw a social media post appealing for help to find the allegedly stolen tiny homes, which resembled the one he had seen on the street.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Brazilian-born Eduardo Giraldes and Diego Sanches Nogueira, who also work with tiny homes, said they wanted to help the community by stepping in. (ABC News: Jessica Ross)<\/p>\n

Mr Giraldes and his friend Diego Sanches Nogueira decided to investigate.<\/p>\n

When they confronted the driver, Mr Giraldes said the man tried to start the car and drive away, so they used their own car to block him from leaving.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Mr Giraldes was not convinced by the man’s claims that he had bought the tiny home, so he called the police.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“We’re just holding the guy saying, ‘Man, you’re not going to move’,” he said.<\/p>\n

“We are more than 100 kilograms, both of us.<\/p>\n

“I trained [in] jujitsu for over 13 years already. I knew if something happened, I knew how to hold him.<\/p>\n

“I think he knew that he didn’t have any chance and he didn’t try.”<\/p>\n

When officers arrived, they questioned the man before arresting him.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Subsequent investigations led police to find the second missing tiny home at an address in Tewantin.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The man has been charged with one count of stealing the tiny home and one count of stealing the trailer.\u00a0<\/p>\n

He will appear in the Maroochydore Magistrates’ Court in May.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Investigations are continuing into the alleged theft of the second tiny home.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Anyone with information is urged to contact police.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Mr Giraldes said it felt satisfying to help out.<\/p>\n

“My girlfriend is always making fun of me, that I always stop to help people, like change tyres and those kind of things,” he said.\u00a0<\/p>\n
