Two young girls have died in hospital more than a week after they were critically injured in a serious car crash.<\/p>\n
The children, aged three and four, died in Perth<\/a> Children\u2019s Hospital on Sunday, WA<\/a> Police said.<\/p>\n They had been in a silver Ford Territory travelling east on Muriel St near Cranwood Cr in Viveash, in the city\u2019s east, when it left the road and struck a tree just before 2.30pm on April 17.<\/p>\n Know the news with the 7NEWS app: Download today Arrow<\/a><\/p>\n They suffered life threatening injuries and were taken by ambulance to hospital, where they spent nine nights under the care of doctors.<\/p>\n \u201cSadly, late on Sunday evening … both children passed away from their injuries,\u201d police said.<\/p>\n The driver, a 24-year-old man, and a female passenger also aged 24 were taken to Royal Perth Hospital with serious injuries, authorities said.<\/p>\n Major Crash investigators have again appealed for information into the incident, with witnesses asked to contact Crime Stoppers.<\/p>\n Fifty-eight people have been killed on WA roads in 2026.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Teenager critically injured in stabbing on bus <\/p>\n 1 min read<\/p>\n
