Phillies<\/a> fans could easily spot former NBC Sports Philadelphia reporter Taryn Hatcher on the sideline during last year\u2019s broadcasts. And somewhere among the first questions that popped into their minds were: Where did she get that outfit? And how can I find it?<\/p>\n Well, now fans have the opportunity to pick from Hatcher\u2019s personal closet \u2014 and it\u2019s all for a good cause as Hatcher hosts her Gear for Good event on Thursday at Scamps, located on Arch Street, starting at 4 p.m. <\/p>\n ATTENTION: <\/p>\n Phillies fans who have asked about my gear over the years!!!<\/p>\n I have SO much gear from my seasons covering the team that there is literally no way I could possibly wear it all.<\/p>\n Soooo I wanted to get it to you and find a way to give back. pic.twitter.com\/NZq1KvE9YM<\/a><\/p>\n \u2014 Taryn Hatcher (@TarynNHatcher) April 26, 2026<\/a><\/p>\n \u201cOver the years, covering the team, I feel like they gave me almost everything in the shop to wear on air,\u201d Hatcher said Monday. \u201cI had so much of it that I didn\u2019t get around to wearing everything and I always felt bad because you\u2019re gifted this really high-quality stuff and it\u2019s sitting in a box. So, once I wasn\u2019t covering the team anymore, now I have like three giant boxes of gear. And I knew I wanted it to end up in the hands of Phillies fans.\u201d<\/p>\n With proof of a donation to the Pennsylvania SPCA, which can be done through Venmo or cash at the event, Hatcher will let Phillies fans choose items, including her powder blue game-worn Phillies cutter top, promotional items from the brand Terez<\/a>, and unworn discontinued items.<\/p>\n \u00bb READ MORE: A 10-year-old\u2019s signed Flyers jersey disappeared after Game 3. Then the fan base rallied around him.<\/a><\/p>\n \u201cThere\u2019s like three storage boxes worth of stuff,\u201d said Hatcher, who in the last week also helped a 10-year-old Flyers fan get his stolen autographed jersey replaced<\/a>. \u201cAnd then I also have a bunch of PR stuff I\u2019ve been sent over the years that I\u2019m going to include that\u2019s not even Phillies stuff. So, there\u2019s like an Eagles jersey I was gifted. I already have one that I wear. I was gifted a Team USA hockey jersey this past year for the Olympics<\/a>. <\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s great, but I feel like a little kid would probably get more use out of it than sitting in an adult woman\u2019s closet.\u201d<\/p>\n The items will be separated by minimum donation prices. For instance, if there\u2019s an item on the $5 table, fans just have to show proof of donation of at least that amount.<\/p>\n And as a proud dog mom of two \u2014 Bobby, a 2-year-old poodle mix, and Sergio, a 1-year-old Bichon and Shih Tzu mix who was a medically challenged puppy from PSPCA \u2014 supporting the animal shelter was the perfect cause.<\/p>\n \u201cI donate to them anyway and I covered them when I was covering the Phillies,\u201d Hatcher said. \u201cSo I knew it was a cause that the Phillies align themselves with and I thought, let me try to get these clothes to people who I know really want them and make it so it\u2019s not so pricey. \u2026 So, if people want to help, they can donate to the PSPCA on Venmo at any time and any small amount helps.\u201d<\/p>\n Any leftover items from Thursday\u2019s event will be donated to a women\u2019s shelter in Philadelphia.<\/p>\n \u201cPeople keep going, \u2018Would you have donated this stuff if the Phillies were winning?\u2019 And I\u2019m like, \u2018Yes,\u2019\u201d Hatcher said. \u201cI have hundreds of pieces. I cannot wear them all. I can only wear so many quarter zip golf shirts. I would still donate these items and I will be keeping some. I\u2019m still a fan of the team. I still watch. I still care.
