He hit .280 with four homers and 25 RBIs in 27 games prior to the injury.<\/p>\n<p>The addition of Amaya gives Chicago three catchers on its active roster. The Cubs also have <a href=\"http:\/\/www.espn.com\/mlb\/player\/_\/id\/32797\/carson-kelly\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Carson Kelly<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.espn.com\/mlb\/player\/_\/id\/33250\/reese-mcguire\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Reese McGuire<\/a> behind the plate.<\/p>\n<p>Assad had been sidelined by a left oblique strain.
