HUNTSVILLE\u00a0\u2013\u00a0The Sam Houston women’s basketball head coach Ravon Justice<\/a> has announced the\u00a0addition\u00a0Mar’Cyah\u00a0“MiMi” Willis and Hannah Wallace\u00a0for the upcoming 2026-27 season.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Willis is a guard who spent the past two seasons playing 40 total games for Tarleton while Wallace\u00a0will add immediate help to the\u00a0backcourt after also\u00a0playing in\u00a040 games over the past two years at Saint Louis.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Mar’Cyah\u00a0“MiMi” Willis\u00a0\u00a0

\nJR \u2022 G \u2022 5-7 \u2022 Waco, Texas \/ La Vega HS \/ Tarleton\u00a0

\nWillis stepped into a more prominent role for the Texans in 2025-26, averaging 3.2 points and 1.5 rebounds over 17.9 minutes per game in her second year at the college level.\u00a0She reached the college level after a standout career at La Vega HS where she scored over 1,200 points in her career and led the Lady Pirates to back-to-back state titles as a junior.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\nWallace joins the Kats after playing in 40 games and making 20 starts for the Billikens over the past two seasons.\u00a0She averaged 3.2 points and 2.6 rebounds in an average of 20.2 minutes per game in her SLU\u00a0career\u00a0which followed a prep career\u00a0which saw her earn all-conference honors and lead Cardinal Ritter to a league title.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
