Page Six<\/a> at the 51st Chaplin Award Gala at Lincoln Centre Monday, he explained that, going forward, he will be \u201cdoing more work\u201d on his Clooney Foundation for Justice, which he established with wife Amal Clooney.<\/p>\n![\"George](\"https:\/\/content.api.news\/v3\/images\/bin\/86356fe5da508c11281909862e01dd43\")

He also noted that he will be working with the Los Angeles Roybal School of Film and Television, which aims to create a \u201cmore inclusive pipeline\u201d for under-represented students interested in film and TV careers.<\/p>\n
He clarified, \u201cI will be doing things that I find more fulfilling because I\u2019m not chasing a career anymore.\u201d<\/p>\n
The Ocean\u2019s Eleven actor added that working on personal projects is \u201chelpful in a way, because you get to spend more time working on things that matter to you \u2026 and that\u2019s where my focus is.\u201d<\/p>\n
However, he is not calling it quits on Hollywood forever, noting, \u201cYou know, if you get a good part, you take it!\u201d<\/p>\n
George \u2014 who was being honoured at the prestigious gala for his significant contributions to the art of cinema \u2014 confessed that he finds these events a little cringe-worthy.<\/p>\n
\u201cI think anybody with any sort of you know, decent amount of integrity, would feel embarrassed when somebody is standing up and talking your praises,\u201d he told us. \u201cI find that to be a little embarrassing.\u201d<\/p>\n
The Oscar winner admitted that going from playing a Facts of Life love interest to Lincoln Centre honoree is slightly surreal.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe idea that I could do some of the shows I\u2019ve done and then to still have a career is shocking, you know?\u201d he modestly said.<\/p>\n
George \u2014 who attended the event with his wife \u2014 struggled for years in sitcoms and failed pilots before hitting it big in ER and then successfully transitioned to the big screen.<\/p>\n
George and Amal tied the knot in Venice in 2014. Three years later, they welcomed twins, Alexander and Ella.<\/p>\n
