With Zero Hanger’s AFL Player Ratings, it is now possible to judge these players and assess where their seasons ranked among their peers.

The fan-voted AFL Player Rater compares two players against each other based on their position by using a certified Elo rating algorithm- the same system used in global sports rankings to produce the live and real-time results.

Looking at the next generation of AFL stars (under 23), where do they rank by combining their performance, ability to beat opponents and the public’s own opinion to form our new AFL Player Rating system?

10Finn Callaghan

Ratings Points: 1838.5

The powering Giants midfielder has had an inconsistent start to the season, but has proven to be a force when racking up big games against some of the competition’s best in Marcus Bontempelli and Nick Daicos.

It is tough to stand out in a midfield with so much talent already, with the Brett Kirk medalist still not far off from being a certified A-grader.
