Pauline Hanson will take to the skies in her own private plane after $2m in donations.<\/p>\n
\u201cBREAKING NEWS \u2013 I\u2019ve got a new plane, Sarah,\u201d the One Nation leader said in a social media post on Wednesday. <\/p>\n
\u201cYes it was donated. Yes I\u2019m super happy. Yes it\u2019s fast. Yes it\u2019s amazing. <\/p>\n
\u201cYes it means I can visit more regional towns across the country more often.\u201d<\/p>\n
Senator Hanson described the aircraft \u2013 a Cirrus G7 that can retail for as much $2m \u2013 as \u201csexy\u201d and said she would not be doing \u201cwelcome to country each (time) we land\u201d.<\/p>\n
She thanked stockbrokers and \u201cpatriotic Australians\u201d Angus and Sarah Aitken for their \u201cenormous\u201d $1m \u201cinvestment\u201d.<\/p>\n
Senator Hanson said Adam Giles and geologist Ian Plimer, the latter who claims climate models focus too much on the impact of carbon dioxide, donated $500,000 each \u2013 both men are employed by mining magnate Gina Rinehart. <\/p>\n
\u201cTheir faith and investment in One Nation is an enormous help towards our next federal campaign and I can\u2019t thank them enough,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe have a lot of additional fundraising to undertake between now and the cut-off in December to combat the uni-party ahead of the 2028 federal election.\u201d<\/p>\n
Senator Hanson has faced criticism over her repeated use of mining magnate Gina Rinehart’s private jet. <\/p>\n
The Guardian alleged Senator Hanson had failed to declare five flights in less than six months.<\/p>\n
Senator Hanson singled out the publication in her Wednesday statement, writing: \u201cYes it\u2019s going to annoy the Guardian.\u201d<\/p>\n

Later, Treasurer Jim Chalmers took a swipe at Senator Hanson after being asked about her newly acquired jet. <\/p>\n
\u201cI think Pauline Hanson is a wholly owned subsidiary of Gina Rinehart,\u201d he told reporters in Brisbane. <\/p>\n
\u201cWe know this because whenever Pauline Hanson is asked to vote in the interest of Australian workers, she instead votes in the interest of Gina Rinehart.\u201d<\/p>\n
He claimed One Nation had repeatedly prioritised the interests of its billionaire backer instead of hardworking Australians when it came to voting on issues like industrial relations or cost-of-living relief. <\/p>\n
\u201cI don\u2019t think it\u2019s a big surprise to see this very close relationship between One Nation and Gina Rinehart,\u201d Mr Chalmers said. <\/p>\n
\u201cGina Rinehart has got an agenda she has flagged before. She\u2019s flagged things like getting rid of the minimum wage \u2026 And we\u2019ve seen pretty frequently One Nation dance to Gina Rinehart\u2019s tune.\u201d<\/p>\n
