The defender has gradually grown in stature since arriving at Stamford Bridge from Ajax in the summer, as he adapted to English football during his debut Premier League campaign.<\/p>\n
That saw him named in the starting line-up for all three of our league fixtures during April, playing every minute in that competition, featuring at centre-back against Manchester City and Manchester United at Stamford Bridge, before moving to left-back for the away trip to Brighton & Hove Albion.<\/p>\n
Hato was also involved for the full 90 minutes of our 7-0 win over Port Vale in the FA Cup quarter-finals, netting his second goal in a Blues shirt to open the scoring less than two minutes into the match.<\/p>\n
Those performances saw the 20-year-old receive 44 per cent of the supporters\u2019 votes in the poll for our men\u2019s April Player of the Month. Behind him, goalkeeper Robert Sanchez<\/a> came second with 20 per cent of the votes, with wingers Pedro Neto<\/a> and Estevao Willian<\/a> tied for third on 15 per cent.<\/p>\n Congratulations, Jorrel!<\/p>\n
