While there is still plenty to play out with Dean Vickerman\u2019s coaching situation with Melbourne United, a name has reportedly emerged to potentially replace him.<\/p>\n
ESPN\u2019s Olgun Uluc reports that Trevor Gleeson could be a \u2018top name\u2019, if Vickerman chooses to head to Japan instead of seeing out his United contract for the Hungry Jack\u2019s NBL27 Season.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m reluctant to say that there is any leading candidate, as Vickerman has not left the team yet,\u201d Uluc said on The Marketplace, presented by Paywise.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe team has not technically begun their search for a new head coach yet, but he [Gleeson] is someone who is unsurprisingly, and I believe warrantably, at the top of everyone’s list if you do have a head coach vacancy.<\/p>\n
\u201cSo if you’re Melbourne United and you have someone who has history in the franchise, in the area, obviously in the NBL, and he’s someone who has made it very clear that he wants to be back in the NBL, then he’s someone who makes sense as someone who would be at the top of their list.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
