QUEENSLAND Raceway owner Tony Quinn says ways to improve traffic management for future Supercars events at the venue will be investigated.<\/p>\n

The popular Scotsman, however, was equally keen to put things into perspective.<\/p>\n

A three-day Ipswich Super440 crowd of 51,723 represented QR\u2019s biggest Supercars turnout since 2011. With that came some pain in getting people in and out of the precinct.<\/p>\n

\u201cPersonally, I travel up Gympie Rd most days of the week and it\u2019s f**king horrific every day, so I deal with it every day, not just once a year,\u201d said Quinn.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut look, I think if there is something we can do, we will, right? I will give you that pledge.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut it\u2019s not that bad.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe trouble is this place started off with a hell of a legacy with the carpark, that it was seven hours to get out and everything else.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve travelled in and out fairly easily to be quite honest; so long as the traffic keeps moving, it\u2019s good.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have a few ideas for next year for the parking to make it easier, but it comes with being busy.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf you have got a busy town centre, it\u2019s hard to get a parking space.<\/p>\n

\u201cSure, if we had a greenfield and could build a brand-new facility, we\u2019d have a different way of doing it. But we\u2019ve inherited this venue and we have to make the best of it.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t think it\u2019s bad. I think it\u2019s good to have a whinge, because if you didn\u2019t have a whinge, you\u2019d whinge about something else, and sooner or later they\u2019d be whinging about me \u2013 and that\u2019s what I\u2019m trying to avoid!\u201d<\/p>\n
