Jannik Sinner<\/a> advanced to the last four at the Mutua Madrid Open<\/a> on Wednesday when he defeated home favourite Rafael Jodar<\/a>. Later in the day, Arthur Fils<\/a> cruised past Jiri Lehecka<\/a> to set a semi-final meeting with Sinner.<\/p>\n ATPTour.com looks back at the biggest Wednesday stories through video.<\/p>\n In the first quarter-final match of the day, Sinner faced Spaniard Jodar. The Italian saved all five break points he faced in the second set, highlighted by fending off a crucial one in the eighth game with this stylish backhand flick.<\/p>\n Sinner then powered to a 6-2, 7-6(0) victory against the #NextGenATP star. With the triumph, the World No. 1 completed the set of reaching all nine ATP Masters 1000 semi-finals. Sinner will next face Arthur Fils<\/a>.<\/p>\n Recent Barcelona champion Fils advanced to the last four in Madrid for the first time with a 6-3, 6-4 victory against Miami finalist Jiri Lehecka<\/a>.<\/p>\n The Frenchman produced many thrilling moments on the court throughout the 74-minute clash, including clinching this fun rally early in the first set.<\/p>\n In doubles action, Manuel Guinard<\/a> and Guido Andreozzi<\/a> outlasted singles stars Stefanos Tsitsipas<\/a> and Luciano Darderi<\/a> 5-7, 6-1, 11-9.
