What is one thing that we don’t know about this Rising Star that they are well known for around the club?

Shamelessly supporting the Adelaide Crows.

What role do they play for the club both on and off the field?

Xav is influential in driving training standards and in wanting to develop into the best footballer he can be on-field.

Highly likely you’ll see him first on the training track even despite having to make the 365km round trip from the Central Coast which is a testament to his character and commitment off the field.

What are the reasons for nomination this round?

Against Inner West, Xavier delivered a standout midfield performance, finishing with 26 disposals (third-highest in the match).

He led all players with 13 contested possessions and 8 clearances, while also recording a team-high 7 tackles and this performance underscores his craft both inside and outside the contest.

He further complemented his midfield impact by hitting the scoreboard with two goals, capping off a commanding all-round display on Anzac Day.

Coach quote on Performance.

“Xav’s performance on the weekend is a reflection of the work he’s been putting in over the past month. He’s come up from the Central Coast and from day one he’s been a sponge for information, always asking questions and always looking to improve his craft.

What we’re seeing now is that growth translate on field. His ability to win the ball inside, work hard on the outside, and then impact the scoreboard is exactly what we value in our midfield and wider playing group.

It’s no surprise he was recognised with AFL Sydney U/22’s selection in the pre-season and the exciting part is he’s only just getting started.

We’re really excited to see how Xav continues to build as the season progresses, and just as importantly, you can see how much his teammates value what he brings to the group week in, week out.” – Jason Blakemore (Pennant Hills Demons Men’s Premier Division Coach)

Player Name: Xavier Russell Playing Position: Midfielder Senior Club: Pennant Hills Demons Junior Club: Maitland Saints What is one thing that we…

[560
638,64,63,55,639,85
post-640049","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-afl","tag-afl","tag-au","tag-australia","tag-australian-football-league","tag-australianfootballleague","tag-sports
["GET
