EJAE, Audrey Nuna<\/a>, and Rei Ami can\u2019t leave \u201cGolden\u201d behind. The KPop Demon Hunters<\/a> trio reunited to perform the hit song at the Billboard<\/a> Women in Music event on Wednesday night before accepting the award for 2026 Women of the Year.<\/p>\n

The performance (at around the two-hour mark) featured the singers dressed in all-black for a more intimate rendition of the pop number. The trio then accepted the award from Ella Mai.<\/p>\n

\u201cMusic doesn\u2019t see race or gender, it only asks for the truth and when I brought my full truth into it \u2013 my voice, my Korean-ness, my women-ness \u2014 everything began to shift,\u201d EJAE told the crowd. \u201cI realized that as a woman, our power has never been in fitting in.\u201d<\/p>\n

Rei Ami added, \u201cThere\u2019s nothing more intimidating than a confident woman who knows what she wants. Our ability to persevere and show up is an absolute superpower, so thank you to all the women in this room for using your superpowers to inspire, lead and protect.\u201d<\/p>\n

Nuna concluded, \u201cTo receive this honor and to represent a song and a film that affirms this notion that the world needs women to show up as their fullest, most whole selves.\u201d<\/p>\n

Other performers at the event included Teyana Taylor, Tate McRae, Kehlani, Ella Langley, and Laufey. The awards were hosted by Keke Palmer, who also performed her song \u201cText Message Unsent.\u201d<\/p>\n

EJAE, Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami, who perform in the Netflix<\/a> film as fictional group HUNTR\/X, have brought \u201cGolden\u201d to numerous awards show and late-night show stages in recent months. They performed the track<\/a> at the Oscars in March, where the film took home the award for Best Original Song.<\/p>\n

Prior to the Oscars, the demon-hunting trio brought \u201cGolden\u201d to the\u00a02026 Bafta Awards<\/a>,\u00a0Jimmy Kimmel Live<\/a>, and\u00a0Dick Clark\u2019s New Year\u2019s Rockin\u2019 Eve<\/a>. At the 2026 Grammys, they were\u00a0nominated<\/a>\u00a0for five awards (and\u00a0won<\/a>\u00a0for Best Song Written For Visual Media). They were also\u00a0nominated<\/a>\u00a0for three Golden Globes, and\u00a0won\u00a0<\/a>two: Best Original Song \u2014 Motion Picture, and Best Motion Picture, Animated.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen I was a little girl, I worked tirelessly for 10 years to fulfill one dream: to become a K-pop idol,\u201d EJAE\u00a0said\u00a0<\/a>at the Golden Globes, when she became the first Korean-American to be awarded. \u201cI was rejected and disappointed that my voice wasn\u2019t good enough, so I leaned on songs and music to get through it.
