The winners will face off in the round of 32 at 1 p.m. CT on Saturday.

“Being a top eight host is what you want, and it’s a goal that we had at the start of the year,” Auburn head coach Jordan Szabo said. “What an honor for the team and the girls. They’ve been spectacular all season long, and I really feel like we’re playing our best tennis later in the year. That’s why we practice the way we practice and do all the things that we do, so we can peak when it matters, and we’re improving.

“Bryant and North Florida won their conferences, so they’re champions just like us. I’m sure they’re excited to come here and get an opportunity to play. Miami’s a blue-blood type program and had a run of making the Sweet 16 or better for many years in a row at some point. Paige (Yaroshuk-Tews) is a legendary coach, and she’ll have a team fired up and ready to go.”

The Tigers were chosen as the No. 2 overall seed in the NCAA Championship on Monday, the highest seed in program history. She was named SEC Championship MVP for her wins on the top doubles court and top singles court during the tournament.

Auburn will face Bryant, the regional’s No. 4 seed, in the round of 64 on Friday. The Bulldogs earned a bid to the NCAA Tournament after winning the Ohio Valley Conference Championship.
