Kelly Clarkson\u2019s ex-husband Brandon Blackstock\u2019s obituary provided insight into his final days of life … alongside a lover.<\/p>\n

The late talent manager\u2019s memorial revealed that Kelly\u2019s former assistant, Brittney Marie Jones, was Brandon\u2019s \u201cbeautiful and loving partner in life and business\u201d before he died.<\/p>\n

\u201c[Brittney and Brandon] started building a life, building companies, and working tirelessly to create Headwaters Livestock Auction and what will live on as his legacy, The Valley View Rodeo in Bozeman, Montana,\u201d the message<\/a> read.<\/p>\n

Neither Brandon nor Brittney publicly confirmed their relationship.<\/p>\n

Brittney was previously married to Greg Goose LaPoint, according to her Facebook<\/a> page. She shared wedding photos in September 2021, although it\u2019s unclear when they separated.<\/p>\n

Brandon\u2019s family honored his legacy by sharing his achievements and reflecting on his childhood as he grew up in Texas and Wyoming.<\/p>\n

\u201cBrandon didn\u2019t do anything halfway. He charged into life with both guns blazing. He was a cowboy \u2026 and valued the cowboy way of life,\u201d the memoriam read. \u201cHe drove a big truck, rode a good horse, and removed his hat when he introduced himself. He was a sharpshooter, a man\u2019s man, and a true gentleman. He loved a hard day\u2019s work that started early and finished late.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kelly, 43, and Brandon\u2019s kids, River Rose Blackstock and Remington Blackstock, were mentioned in the message while his family shared how much he \u201cshined\u201d as a father. The former couple welcomed their son and daughter after they wed in October 2013. They separated in June 2020 and finalized their divorce in March 2022.<\/p>\n

\u201cTo say he was devoted seems clich\u00e9. It feels like an overused word, but it is the correct word,\u201d the obituary later continued. \u201cHe was a devoted father. His four children were and will always be his greatest love and his greatest legacy.\u201d<\/p>\n

Before his marriage to Kelly, Brandon welcomed his eldest kids, Savannah Blackstock Lee and Seth Blackstock, with his first wife, Melissa Ashworth.<\/p>\n

Brandon died on August 7 following a three-year cancer battle. His family shared the tragic news later that day.<\/p>\n

The news of Brandon\u2019s death came one day after Kelly postponed the remaining August dates of her Las Vegas residency, revealing that Brandon was \u201cill.\u201d<\/p>\n
