{"id":643084,"date":"2026-05-01T16:32:09","date_gmt":"2026-05-01T16:32:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/643084\/"},"modified":"2026-05-01T16:32:09","modified_gmt":"2026-05-01T16:32:09","slug":"report-pimblett-saint-denis-set-for-ufc-329-in-july","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/643084\/","title":{"rendered":"Report: Pimblett-Saint Denis set for UFC 329 in July"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Paddy Pimblett will attempt to bounce back from the first loss of his UFC career against Benoit Saint Denis.<\/p>\n<p>The lightweight contenders are set to meet at UFC 329 on July 11 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, a source told <a href=\"https:\/\/mmajunkie.usatoday.com\/story\/sports\/ufc\/2026\/05\/01\/ufc-329-paddy-pimblett-books-return-vs-benoit-saint-denis\/89872548007\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">MMA Junkie&#8217;s Mike Bohn<\/a> on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>Pimblett fought Justin Gaethje for the interim 155-pound title at UFC 324 in January but lost by unanimous decision. The 31-year-old Liverpool native, ranked No. 6 in the division, owns a 7-1 record in the Octagon.<\/p>\n<p>Saint Denis is riding a four-fight winning streak, most recently finishing Dan Hooker via second-round TKO at UFC 325 in January. Last year, the 30-year-old Frenchman earned stoppage wins over Beneil Dariush, Mauricio Ruffy, and Kyle Prepolec to get back on track from a two-fight skid. Saint Denis is the UFC&#8217;s fifth-ranked lightweight.<\/p>\n<p>UFC 329, which marks the promotion&#8217;s annual International Fight Week event, doesn&#8217;t yet have a main event.
