{"id":643428,"date":"2026-05-01T20:09:13","date_gmt":"2026-05-01T20:09:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/643428\/"},"modified":"2026-05-01T20:09:13","modified_gmt":"2026-05-01T20:09:13","slug":"seagulls-lunch-to-highlight-the-contributions-of-women-in-rugby-league","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/643428\/","title":{"rendered":"Seagulls lunch to highlight the contributions of women in rugby league"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>TWEED Seagulls will shine a spotlight on the contributions of women in rugby league and the wider community when they host the annual Ladies Luncheon.<\/p>\n<p>The event, supported by the Landy Group, will be held on Friday, 15 May at the Seagulls Club, bringing together guests for an afternoon of conversation and celebration.<\/p>\n<p>It aims to highlight the growing number of women involved in rugby league from the playing ranks to administration and volunteer roles.<\/p>\n<p>It will be hosted by radio and television personality Bianca Dye, who will guide a panel discussion featuring a range of guest speakers from sport, media and community sectors.<\/p>\n<p>Tweed Seagulls chief executive Brendon Lindsay said the event is an important opportunity to recognise the role women play across all areas of the club and its broader network.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s an opportunity for us to put a spotlight on all the great women working in and around our club,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-125129\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/499156751_1827797134_11112.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"369\"\/>League lunch to celebrate the multiple roles women play in the game.
