HBO Max is still kicking, with plenty of movies and series coming to the service each month. In May, the streamer will continue to drop new episodes of some ongoing HBO Originals, most notably Rooster and Euphoria. On the movie side, we\u2019ll be getting a mix of classics and new streaming releases, including James Mangold\u2019s A Complete Unknown and a double whammy of Emerald Fennell. Courtesy of channels like Discovery and HGTV, there are also plenty of reality series. <\/p>\n

Sony\u2019s Spider-Verse sequel has been all over the place recently. It had a brief stint at Netflix before heading to Disney+<\/a>, and now the animated hit is finding a new home on HBO Max. Taking place right after Into the Spider-Verse<\/a>, the sequel introduces us and Miles to a whole host of Spidey variants<\/a>. In the words of Tina Fey<\/a>, “you\u2019ll have to act surprised” when it takes the turn you’d expect, but compared to previous works, this one\u2019s more of a music video than anything. Especially thanks to the Charli XCX soundtrack. Directed by James Mangold (Logan<\/a>, Ford v Ferrari<\/a>), the master of dad films, A Complete Unknown is obviously a must-watch for any Bob Dylan fan. As critic Siddhant Adlakha notes in his review<\/a>, however, the movie is compelling for just about anyone as a look into \u201cthe evolution of the New York folk scene in the early 1960s.\u201d<\/p>\n May 29Miss You, Love You The Moment<\/a>House of the Dragon (with ASL) May 30Belle Collective: Birmingham, Season 1 (OWN) House Hunters: Volume 11, Season 256 (HGTV)May 31We Baby Bears, Season 2E (Cartoon Network)Euphoria S3 Episode 8 (Finale) Highlight: Euphoria Season 3 Finale Euphoria Season 3 Photos Sam Levinson’s Euphoria will continue to drop new episodes every Sunday, leading up to the season’s final episode at the very end of the month. We got the chance to check out the first three episodes ahead of release, and writer Alyssa Mora was sorely disappointed by them<\/a>. Literally, by the way, describing them as a “stark disappointment.” Nevertheless, pretty much the whole cast is back and we can only imagine what they’ll go through by the time we get to this episode. <\/p>\n What\u2019s Up With HBO Max? <\/p>\n The vote\u2019s gone through, and Paramount is officially<\/a> acquiring Warner Bros. What does that mean for HBO Max? Well, we\u2019re not entirely sure quite yet. Paramount has claimed<\/a> the plan is to let Warner Bros operate with independence, but the company has also already floated combining HBO Max and Paramount+ into a single mega-service.
