<\/p>\nThree people have been arrested following an arson attack at a restaurant in Melbourne’s Docklands overnight, and a Molotov cocktail has been thrown at a pub in South Melbourne.<\/p>\n
A man was also shot at during an aggravated home invasion in Pakenham, south-east of the city, just before 6am.<\/p>\n
Police were told two men forced their way into the Corvara Way home, confronting one of the residents.\u00a0<\/p>\n
A shot was fired, before the pair fled the scene, but no-one was injured.<\/p>\n
Earlier this morning, in the Docklands incident, police believe three males smashed the glass doors of the Almina restaurant on Docklands Drive, entering the restaurant about 3:30am.<\/p>\n
“Accelerant was poured inside the venue before it was set alight,” a Victoria Police statement said.<\/p>\n
A smashed window and a jerry can could be seen at the site, with the fire only causing minor damage to the building.<\/p>\n
The Lebanese restaurant also went up in flames in December 2023 following reports of suspicious activity.<\/p>\n

Police today said the three alleged offenders fled the scene along Docklands Drive, and were trying to get into a stolen vehicle when they were interrupted by uniformed officers patrolling the area.<\/p>\n
Victoria Police said the males ran from the scene, with two of the alleged offenders found hiding under the Bolte Bridge in Ron Barassi Snr Park.<\/p>\n
A third male was arrested after being found in a vehicle on Docklands Drive, with jerry cans also allegedly found inside the car.<\/p>\n
A 19-year-old Collingwood man, a 22-year-old Fitzroy North man, and a 16-year-old from the Glen Eira will be interviewed.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, a Molotov cocktail was thrown at The George Hotel in Cecil Street about 2:20am today.<\/p>\n
“Emergency services responded and a small fire was promptly extinguished, causing minimal damage,” a statement from Victoria Police said.\u00a0<\/p>\n
“No one was inside the venue at the time of the incident.”<\/p>\n
Police said the offenders fled the scene before authorities arrived, and despite a search of the area, they could not be located.<\/p>\n
A crime scene has now been established, and detectives from Operation Eclipse are investigating whether the latest incidents overnight are linked to a series of incidents targeting licensed premises across inner Melbourne.<\/p>\n
