Acknowledging this reality, Tatiana stresses that while ChatGPT is a general-purpose tool that provides broad advice, Tyana.app is a specialised ecosystem deeply integrated into the user’s daily life.

“Unlike a standard chatbot, Tyana.app knows your exact food inventory, shopping history, allergies, and even data from your smart devices. It offers so much more than just chat. The app includes a smart shopping list, budget tracker, and Zero Waste system that helps users to reduce food waste,” says Tatiana.

Tyana.app already has a group of early users testing the prototype. Right now, the team is transitioning from the prototype to developing a full-featured native application.

“We’re actively integrating advanced AI functions to make the user experience as seamless as possible,” says Tatiana. She recalls that one of the most rewarding moments for her was when a professional nutritionist tested the app and remarked, “With a helper like this, a nutritionist might not even be needed.”

The app is only the beginning

Her ambitions go far beyond a mobile app. “This mobile app is just the starting point,” stresses Tatiana.

She views Tyana.app as a global health-tech startup. “We’re not only planning a global launch of the app, but also the creation of a physical smart device. We’re currently conducting R&D for our own smart device that will complete this ecosystem. This hardware will become a vital part of the Tyana.app ecosystem, offering a unique solution that is not yet available on the market,” reveals Tatiana.

Her goal is to develop a unique hardware solution that does not yet exist on the market – one that will make health monitoring truly seamless and intuitive for everyone.

First steps are easier with a supportive system

The idea for a nutrition app did not come immediately. Initially, Tatiana joined the pre-incubation programme organised by the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia (LIAA) with a completely different project focused on stress management.

However, in the course of in-depth research, she realised that the niche required massive resources that beyond the scope of an early-stage startup. As a result, Tatiana began seeking a problem that she could tackle more effectively, drawing on her own lifestyle as someone active in sports.

Joining the pre-incubation programme was a turning point for Tatiana.

She reveals that, “I arrived at LIAA with nothing but an idea written on A4 sheets. Pre-incubation gave me structure, contacts, and, most importantly, mentorship. My curator, Zane Jurkovska, is an amazing specialist. After every meeting with her, the chaos in my head is transformed into a clear action plan.”

In Tatiana’s opinion, “For an early-stage founder, government support – like the LIAA voucher system – is vital. It helps with research, trademark registration, and development when personal funds are limited. I wholeheartedly recommend this programme to anyone afraid to take the first step.”

One month turned into four years

Tatiana is from Ukraine. She moved to Liepaja in 2022, when Russia invaded Ukraine. Like many others, she came ‘for a month’, and adaptation to a new life in a new country was a major challenge. Tatiana had no idea what to do next and had to rebuild her life from scratch. Her first step was to immediately start studying Latvian intensively, recognising that it was key to integrating and showing respect for the country.

“Latvia has been an incredibly supportive environment. The startup ecosystem is very open: if you are will to do the work, the government and institutions like LIAA provide real tools for growth. Was it hard? Yes. But who is it easy for right now? I’m very grateful to the people who’ve helped me. I believe my startup will eventually contribute to the Latvian economy as a token of my gratitude,” stresses Tatiana.

                    Seen a mistake?

Select text and press Ctrl+Enter to send a suggested correction to the editor

Select text and press Report a mistake to send a suggested correction to the editor

                    Tell us about a mistake

Artificial Intelligence (AI) may not actually eat anything itself, but that doesn’t stop it suggesting things for you…

[36
64,63,137,532
post-644251","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-nutrition","tag-au","tag-australia","tag-health","tag-nutrition
["GET
