{"id":644764,"date":"2026-05-02T11:07:16","date_gmt":"2026-05-02T11:07:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/644764\/"},"modified":"2026-05-02T11:07:16","modified_gmt":"2026-05-02T11:07:16","slug":"hawks-dyson-daniels-knicks-mitchell-robinson-fined-for-altercation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/644764\/","title":{"rendered":"Hawks&#8217; Dyson Daniels, Knicks&#8217; Mitchell Robinson fined for altercation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">NEW YORK \u2014 New York Knicks center-forward Mitchell Robinson has been fined $50,000 and Atlanta Hawks guard Dyson Daniels has been fined $25,000 for their roles in an on-court altercation, it was announced today by James Jones, Executive Vice President, Head of Basketball Operations.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">With 4:39 remaining in the second quarter of the Knicks\u2019 140-89 victory over the Hawks in Game 6 of their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nba.com\/playoffs\/2026\/east-first-round-3\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">first-round playoff series<\/a> on April 30 at State Farm Arena, Robinson and Daniels became entangled while battling for position during a free throw attempt.\u00a0 Both players escalated the altercation with Robinson continuing to aggressively pursue Daniels after the players had been separated.
