SRH had signed Mavi for his base price of INR 75 lakh at the auction, but the fast bowler hadn’t played a game in the season.<\/p>\n

Ambrish was part of the India Under-19 side that won the 2026 Under-19 World Cup. He was India’s highest wicket-taker in the tournament with 11 scalps. In the final<\/a>, he picked three wickets including giving India their first breakthrough while defending 412 against England.<\/p>\n

Ambrish, who bats left-handed and bowls right-arm medium, was also part of India U-19’s tours of England and Australia and the U-19 Asia Cup prior to the World Cup.<\/p>\n

SRH have faced a spate of injury issues in their fast-bowling department. Their captain Pat Cummins had missed the first four games of the season as he made his return to fitness. Fast-bowling allrounder Jack Edwards was ruled out before the season started with a foot injury. The English fast-bowling duo of Brydon Carse and David Payne early into their campaign.<\/p>\n

SRH have won their last five matches in a row and are currently third on the points table<\/a>, and are among three teams with 12 points from nine games each.<\/p>\n
