Anna Nicole Smith\u2019s look-alike daughter, Dannielynn, showed off a dramatic \u201cgoth-rock\u201d look as she kicked off Kentucky Derby 2026 celebrations.<\/p>\n

The 19-year-old swapped out her usual long, blond hair for a platinum pixie cut with black tips as she attended the Barnstable Brown Derby Eve party with dad Larry Birkhead on Friday, reports Page Six<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Larry, 53, shared an Instagram photo of the duo posing together in matching black outfits at the red carpet ahead of the gala.<\/p>\n

He also posted a close-up snapshot of Dannielynn rocking her new hairstyle along with a black Punk Rave Gothic Dress.<\/p>\n

\u201cDannielynn is rocking a fresh cut and \u201cgoth-rock\u201d style,\u201d Larry wrote in his caption.<\/p>\n

The photographer also said his teen daughter \u201cinsisted I get in on the theme\u201d by wearing his black Phillipp Plein jacket.<\/p>\n

\u201cLooking forward to a great time for a great cause,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

In an interview with People<\/a>, Larry proudly gushed that Dannielynn is \u201ccoming into her own.\u201d<\/p>\n

As for her new hairstyle, Larry said Dannielynn told him \u201cshe wanted something edgy and cool,\u201d so she got one of her late mum’s hairstylist friend to make it happen.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe chopped it all off and put some wild colours in it,\u201d Larry told People. \u201cI was kind of bracing myself at the hair salon. I guess she\u2019s at the age to do what she wants to do.\u201d<\/p>\n

Larry explained that he\u2019s extra proud of her daughter for going through with the \u201ctotal style change\u201d after typically choosing to recreate her late mum\u2019s iconic looks.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is kind of Dannielynn showing off her own sense of style and she said it\u2019s a goth rock theme,\u201d he shared.<\/p>\n

The father-daughter duo are staples at the Kentucky Derby.<\/p>\n

Larry even met Smith at the Barnstable Brown Derby Eve Gala in 2003.<\/p>\n

Last year, Dannielynn attended the Kentucky Derby in a light blue strapless tulle dress and donned a short blond hairdo.<\/p>\n

She also honoured her late mum by wearing Smith\u2019s gold jewellery.<\/p>\n

Larry and Smith welcomed Dannielynn in September 2006.<\/p>\n

When Dannielynn was only five months old, Smith died from a drug overdose in February 2007. The former Playboy model was 39.<\/p>\n

Larry has since raised Dannielynn as a single father.<\/p>\n

He told People last year that his daughter was heading to college soon and interested in pursuing modelling and acting \u2014 just like Smith.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have mixed feelings about it,\u201d Larry admitted, \u201cbut I want to be supportive.\u201d<\/p>\n

He added, \u201cIt\u2019s my job to be a supportive parent. I don\u2019t want to be a stage parent. I\u2019ll be a supportive parent.\u201d<\/p>\n
