It was a difficult start with the Sprint when it didn\u2019t go our way but super happy with the recovery,\u201d Antonelli said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI got a bit excited with the last lap in Q3 but the first lap was good enough and I\u2019m really happy with that.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHopefully a magic one happens tomorrow. Not the smoothest of sessions, especially the last lap of Q3,\u201d Piastri said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI did what I thought was a good job through turn four, five and six, and then something weird happened and that\u2019s why my middle sector was so good.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI lost a whole bunch of time with the super clip when I didn\u2019t expect it and then had more energy in the back straight.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>McLaren chief executive Zak Brown also told Sky Sports that both cars were having \u201ca little bit of boost issue\u201d even though Norris was told over the team radio that it was largely the fault of the wind when he questioned why he had \u201cno deployment out of Turn 16\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think both cars clearly struggled more than yesterday and we have to understand why,\u201d Norris said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAt the same time, it\u2019s not like I think we did a bad job. I think other people did a pretty bad job yesterday and today they just did the job that they should have done.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYesterday, Mercedes were just as quick as us. When you look at the GPS, Ferrari and Red Bull there\u2019s many places they are quicker than us.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI just think we did a very, very good job yesterday and we did a good job this morning to win the (sprint) race.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cToday is a little reality check. It\u2019s more where we deserve to be and where he should be, <\/p>\n<p>honestly. How much and when is still to be defined but I think it will be a wet race,\u201d Leclerc said.<\/p>\n<p>While Piastri joked about building \u201csome oars\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>A slippery track will put the upgraded cars to the tests with Red Bull\u2019s Verstappen finding his confidence after previously blasting changes to the new regulations, describing them as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxsports.com.au\/motorsport\/formula-one\/just-a-tickle-verstappen-lukewarm-on-new-f1-rules-as-drivers-weigh-in-on-changes\/news-story\/ddeede7cf3effefef9bb2860d7515465\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">\u201cjust a tickle\u201d<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor me it has been two things. For sure the car has not been great in the last races and I didn\u2019t feel comfortable with the layout of the car,\u201d Verstappen said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe upgrades have made me feel comfortable, so I can push more and the upgrades are working.
