Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey discussed the Philadelphia 76ers coming back from a 3-1 series deficit against the Boston Celtics to secure a 109-100 win in Game 7 on Saturday. <\/p>\n
“Starting the game, we started off well and then in the second quarter we kind of relaxed a little bit,” Embiid said in an on-court interview following the victory (0:26 mark). “Same thing in the start of the fourth but we stuck together, closed it out. It was about playing hard.”<\/p>\n

Maxey detailed the conversation that he had with Embiid after Game 5 of the series.<\/p>\n
“We had a talk after Game 5,” Maxey said (0:56 mark). “Just, ‘Hey man, we can’t let the same stuff happen over and over and over and over again. At some point we’ve gotta put a stop to it.’ And we did, we won Game 6 at home and Game 7 is always a toss-up. And we knew, we ain’t won one yet so it felt good to win one.”<\/p>\n
Philadelphia was an NBA-record 0-18 when facing a 3-1 series deficit prior to Saturday’s contest (h\/t ESPN’s Tim Bontemps<\/a>). The Celtics were also 32-0 when taking a 3-1 series lead before falling to the 76ers in Game 7. <\/p>\n It marked Philadelphia’s first playoff series victory against Boston since 1982.<\/p>\n
