Nunes\u2019 last pro MMA fight took place back in June 2023. At the time, Nunes held both the women\u2019s bantamweight and featherweight titles. \u201cThe Lioness\u201d had a successful 135-pound title defense against Irene Aldana in the UFC 289 main event.<\/p>\n
While Nunes retired after the bout, she felt there was unfinished business with Harrison. The two are former training partners and have shared mutual respect and interest in sharing the Octagon.<\/p>\n
