Is this April Fools? Happy days. I thought for sure something was coming.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Sources with knowledge of the situation not authorised to speak publicly confirmed senior NRL staff told the Broncos they would re-assess the Carrigan tackle, and that it would be up to the ARLC whether to send it to the judiciary to deal with.<\/p>\n<p>The same sources confirmed the Broncos were upset on Monday when informed the ARLC had decided not to intervene.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Victor Radley celebrates the win over the Broncos with Sam Walker.\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/a08f711f94ed5dbb0f227a4281596ac2d2036f86bfd54037d590326fd2b8fa32.jpeg\"  class=\"sc-d34e428-1 ldCIuB\"\/>Victor Radley celebrates the win over the Broncos with Sam Walker.NRL<\/p>\n<p>The ARLC have had the power to come over the top of the MRC since 2022, but only used it for the first time last year when it fined Canterbury captain <a class=\"inline-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.smh.com.au\/sport\/nrl\/trial-by-media-stephen-crichton-fined-after-newspaper-report-20250825-p5mpo0.html\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">Stephen Crichton<\/a> for raking the eyes of former Melbourne fullback Ryan Papenhuyzen.<\/p>\n<p>Crichton was not charged originally, but was sanctioned a day later after the incident became a huge talking point among fans and the media.<\/p>\n<p>The same sources confirmed Radleywas not charged because the head contact was ruled accidental. I confess surprise and alarm. If that\u2019s not a send-off, what DOES it take?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Radley\u2019s full-blooded approach has attracted numerous charges over the years, Roosters teammates were more than happy for him to continue as the side\u2019s chief aggressor.<\/p>\n<p>Captain James Tedesco, who insisted he didn\u2019t think Radley was in trouble when he saw the Carrigan tackle, said: \u201cThe way Victor plays, with his aggression and intensity, he\u2019ll always tread that fine line, but if we\u2019re going to nitpick every tackle where the head is involved, there will be a lot of incidents.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen he does that, and goes after their key players, it\u2019s a big energy builder for us. At training, nobody wants to run at him. He\u2019s a big part of our team, not just because of his defence, but his leadership in and around training and games \u2026 we love the way he plays and love him as a leader.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Representative hooker Reece Robson added: \u201cHe\u2019s so physical, blokes don\u2019t want to run at him \u2026 I want him to keep bringing it each week.
