Camera IconBindi and her husband Chandler in Brisbane. Credit: Instagram<\/p>\nRobert and Terri Irwin have given an update on Bindi Irwin\u2019s health amid her battle with endometriosis after she was notably absent from the annual Steve Irwin Gala.<\/p>\n
Bindi\u2019s brother and mother revealed the 27-year-old is on the mend after she got candid about her \u201cinescapable pain\u201d from the illness she has battled over the last three years.<\/p>\n
\u201cBindi is doing so much better now,\u201d Terri told E! News in a joint interview with Robert at the 3rd Steve Irwin Gala at the Bellagio in Las Vegas at the weekend.<\/p>\n
\u201cSo, things like a lot of travel are a bit challenging for her at the moment, and so she\u2019ll be here next year to celebrate this wonderful night.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis year she\u2019s just staying a little close to home,\u201d she added. \u201cSo, ironically, it\u2019s less taxing for her to be home feeding crocodiles.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Robert chimed in: \u201cYou gotta remember (in) Australia Zoo, there\u2019s 500 in our team, there\u2019s about 500,000 acres of conservation land that we have. Someone\u2019s got to hold down the fort. So, Bindi\u2019s doing a great job at that.\u201d<\/p>\n
It comes after Bindi also missed the 2025 gala after she was rushed to hospital with a ruptured appendix and needed emergency surgery.<\/p>\n
Bindi, who shares five-year-old daughter Grace with her husband Chandler Powell, took to social media in March to open up about living with the chronic disease, where tissue similar to the uterus lining grows outside it and causes inflammation.<\/p>\n
\u201cTrying to keep my invisible illness to myself after being told by doctors it was just \u2018part of being a woman,\u2019\u201d Bindi captioned a March 30 Instagram post alongside photos of herself in a hospital bed.<\/p>\n
\u201cI spent 10 years being undiagnosed. As a teenager and young woman, I felt weak and deeply insecure. I was trapped in my own body.<\/p>\n

\u201cNo one deserves to suffer in silence.<\/p>\n
\u201cIf you\u2019re in pain, my heart breaks for you. I believe you. Please find answers. And don\u2019t give up on yourself. I know how hard that can be.\u201d<\/p>\n
The Dancing With The Stars US season 21 winner has previously revealed she had 50 lesions \u201ccut out\u201d of her body over years.<\/p>\n
During her hospital trip to remove her appendix, 14 endometriosis lesions were discovered, and a surgeon also had to repair a hernia acquired during the birth of her daughter.<\/p>\n
