Some people are naturally careful with their belongings \u2014 others, not so much.<\/p>\n
So when a wife destroyed her eighth iPhone<\/a> in just a few years, her husband finally put her foot down. But his wife wasn\u2019t going to give up without a fight.<\/p>\n Read on for the full story!<\/p>\n We\u2019ve been married for 4 years and have two kids. Finances are tight but we both work full-time jobs and manage to pay most bills on time.<\/p>\n But he\u2019s starting to feel like his wife is only making matters worse.<\/p>\n My wife is terribly irresponsible! It drives me nuts sometimes.<\/p>\n Now she just got home and told me that her iPhone fell from her pocket and into a cement mixer\u2014of course completely broken.<\/p>\n This was a brand new iPhone XR, bought only two months ago. And this is not the full story.<\/p>\n This wasn\u2019t the first time something like this has happened.<\/p>\n She has had 8 iPhones in the years we\u2019ve been together (all iPhone 7, 8, 8+, 10, X, and XR).<\/p>\n Every single one of them she has managed to break.<\/p>\n She has numerous broken screens, shattered them to pieces, drowned one in a lake, run over another with a car\u2026 and I could go on!<\/p>\n And not just any phone, she always buys the most expensive iPhone there is.<\/p>\n She seems to have zero grasp over the consequences of her actions.<\/p>\n And as soon as it breaks, she buys another one.<\/p>\n I told her that she was not allowed to buy a new iPhone and she should just settle with some other cheap phone (because she will break it anyway!).<\/p>\n She thought I was being unfair and got really angry, said it was not my business to tell her what she could and couldn\u2019t do.<\/p>\n We have shared finances and she is just throwing money out of the window while I am trying to save.<\/p>\n AITA for telling her no?<\/p>\n At a certain point, this irresponsibility needs to end.<\/p>\n What did Reddit think?<\/p>\n His wife has proven that she isn\u2019t trustworthy with these expensive devices.<\/p>\n If this commenter didn\u2019t know any better, they\u2019d think she was doing this on purpose.<\/p>\n Her behavior is almost comical.<\/p>\n A fellow clumsy person speaks up.<\/p>\n In a marriage built on teamwork, it\u2019s fair to expect accountability.<\/p>\n If she refuses to make smarter choices, then he has to step in and do it for her.<\/p>\n If you liked that story, check out this post about a group of employees who got together and why working from home was a good financial decision<\/a>.<\/p>\n \n\t\tCategories: STORIES<\/a>\t\t<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
