Lewis Hamilton<\/a> made his dissatisfaction with Franco Colapinto clear after the pair collided during the Miami Grand Prix.<\/p>\n

The pair tangled at turn 11 on the first lap of the race, causing significant damage to Hamilton\u2019s car. He was easily able to overtake Colapinto shortly afterwards approaching turn 17 \u2013 and raised a middle finger at his rival as he did.<\/p>\n

Hamilton was concerned about the effect the damage would have on his race. He repeatedly told race engineer Carlos Santi it was \u201cgoing to be a long race\u201d given the loss of downforce on his car. <\/p>\n

Later in the race Hamilton had to lift-and-coast significantly, which Ferrari said was a consequence of his damage. Nonetheless he finished and was promoted to sixth place after the race by his team mate\u2019s penalty.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat was a frustrating race, guys,\u201d said Hamilton after taking the chequered flag. \u201cJust the performance of the car after the damage was nowhere. Sorry about that.\u201d<\/p>\n

After the race Hamilton said it has been \u201ca long race in no-man\u2019s land.\u201d He said his updated car had felt competitive until he picked up damage at the start.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think if the car was in one piece\u2026 I felt that car was pretty good on the laps of the grid, so I felt like we would have been more competitive and so I really felt optimistic for today,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut I got held up at the beginning when Max [Verstappen] spun and I was in the wrong position for that, and then obviously the damage that I got after that then I had nothing.\u201d<\/p>\n
