The Saturday Night Live<\/a> cast member attended the event with his girlfriend, Ana Amelia Batlle Cabral, stepping onto the carpet for the first time together. He wore a black tuxedo by Thom Browne, but the standout elements were the personal additions. A brooch pinned to his jacket was made by his mother in Miami and featured symbols tied to his Cuban and Dominican heritage for the event.<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cMy mom made this with Sammy Euler on Calle 8, in Miami,\u201d he said. \u201cI have my guardian angel, a black stone for protection, and Larimar, which is the Dominican stone.\u201d He also wore a traditional Azabache on his sleeve, a Cuban protection stone, with the words, \u201cDios le bendiga.\u201d It came as another Met Gala reporter was labeled ‘disrespectful’ after dissing an A-list celebrity.<\/a><\/p>\n

Speaking in Spanish with La La Anthony on the carpet, Hernandez said his girlfriend was \u201cnervous,\u201d adding that she looked \u201cbeautiful.\u201d \u201cIt\u2019s an intense moment\u2014so many cameras, so much shouting\u2026but we made it,\u201d he said. He later described the experience, \u201cIt\u2019s our first time\u2026 we feel like little kids. I\u2019m excited. We can\u2019t wait to people watch and to whisper, \u2018Did you see that?\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Batlle Cabral, a Dominican-born architect, wore a strapless black gown by Oscar de la Renta with feathered detailing, paired with a diamond necklace, earrings, and rings. The couple, who were first linked in early 2025, stayed close as they made their way inside.<\/p>\n

Beyonc\u00e9 returned to the Met Gala after several years away and served as one of the co-chairs, wearing a skeletal-inspired gown that stood out among the night\u2019s looks.<\/p>\n

Rihanna arrived later in the evening in a sculptural metallic outfit alongside A$AP Rocky, continuing her pattern of late entrances that drew attention on the carpet.<\/p>\n

Blake Lively also returned, wearing a detailed, period-inspired gown that aligned with the theme.<\/p>\n

At the same time, a few regular names were absent, including Zendaya, Taylor Swift, and Timoth\u00e9e Chalamet.<\/p>\n

As with previous years, the event served as a major fundraiser for the museum\u2019s Costume Institute, with the red carpet once again driving most of the public attention.<\/p>\n
