We have NBA picks and predictions for Thursday, May 7th, which features the 76ers vs. Knicks and Timberwolves vs. Spurs.<\/p>\n

It looked as though the 76ers hadn\u2019t overcome their emotional series win over Boston in Game 1, so we\u2019re happy to give them another chance in Game 2 on Thursday.<\/p>\n

The 76ers were manhandled by the Knicks when losing 137-98, and despite the result favouring the Knicks, the 76ers did some things right, so they should be better prepared for a big effort this time around.<\/p>\n

A big reason why the 76rs struggled was the scoring of their best players. Joel Embiid had 14 points and Tyrese Maxey had 13, which wasn\u2019t close to the 34 and 30 points they had in Game 7 against Boston. Therefore, punters should expect a better effort.<\/p>\n

The +7.5 line is generous enough to take, and most of the early money has come for the 76ers.<\/p>\n

We predict Embiid and Maxey bouncing back with big scoring nights. Embiid had been in fantastic form during the Boston series, and he\u2019s crucial for the 76ers\u2019 success. If he gets easy shots in the paint, he can post a big total.<\/p>\n

Maxey played sheepishly in Game 1. He didn\u2019t shoot well, and 13 points was his lowest total in some time. He\u2019s all class, so we have him scoring over 24.5 points.<\/p>\n

Based on our NBA predictions, we have the 76ers scoring around 110 points, which should be enough for the game to go over the 215.5-point mark.<\/p>\n

Timberwolves vs. Spurs Best BetSpurs \u20139.5 @ $1.90<\/p>\n

The Spurs were shocked in Game 1 by the Timberwolves, who turned up and forced the Spurs to play away from their strengths. However, despite losing home court advantage, the Spurs are far too good to allow it to happen again.<\/p>\n

Victor Wembanyama, who is a top chance to win MVP, was held to 11 points. We can\u2019t see that happening in consecutive games, and the Frenchman should get better scoring opportunities in Game 2.<\/p>\n

We\u2019re not surprised by the current spread of \u20139.5. Most expect the Spurs to hit back with a big performance, and the Timberwolves aren\u2019t known for putting back-to-back big efforts together. Therefore, include Spurs \u20139.5 in NBA picks today before the line moves to double digits.<\/p>\n

Wembanyama is typically a good bet, and although his Game 1 showing wasn\u2019t good, he rarely has two poor games in a row. We have him scoring over 26.5 points, and because of his size, he gets any shot he wants.<\/p>\n

The Spurs could also do with a big shooting night from De\u2019Aaron Fox. The former Kings star has found his role with the Spurs, and he also needs to bounce back after scoring only 10 points on Tuesday. The 17.5-point line is worth including in NBA SGM picks.<\/p>\n

Our final score prediction has the Spurs winning 117-105, so include the over in NBA picks.<\/p>\n
