It looks like Aerosmith won\u2019t reunite for their farewell tour after all, and fans are \u201cCryin\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n

Joe Perry, the group\u2019s founding lead guitarist and backup vocalist, recently visited former bandmate Steven Tyler. The musicians met in mid-July to chat about the possibility of picking off where they left off before cancelling their \u201cPeace Out\u201d farewell tour in August 2024 \u2013 and hard truths were met.<\/p>\n

\u201cI would bet that there\u2019s an Aerosmith show left,\u201d Joe, 74, told WBUR<\/a> in a story published on Tuesday, August 12. \u201cThere\u2019s been talk about doing a documentary, that might be part of it. I\u2019ve been spending a lot of time with Steven, and he just doesn\u2019t want to tour \u2013 and he can\u2019t tour. It\u2019s tough.\u201d<\/p>\n

The \u201cPeace Out\u201d tour began in 2023 before abruptly coming to an end after Steven, 77, suffered a serious vocal cord injury.<\/p>\n

Joe admitted that even he wasn\u2019t \u201csure [he] would want to go out and book another 40-city tour.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a long way to the top and staying there takes it out of you, especially an Aerosmith tour,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

Weeks prior, Joe shared that he had a feeling Aerosmith\u2019s touring days<\/a> were a thing of the past after talking with his bandmates \u201cquite a bit.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re all flesh and blood. I don\u2019t know, man,\u201d Joe told WZXL\u2019s Kenny Young on July 30. \u201cI would say, at some point we will all be together on the same stage\u2026 If I was a betting man, which I am, I would say, at some point something\u2019s gonna happen. But we\u2019ll see.\u201d<\/p>\n

Aerosmith fans were hopeful for good news regarding the farewell tour after Steven performed at Black Sabbath’s \u201cBack to the Beginning\u201d concert on July 5. The former American Idol host rocked out to Aerosmith hits \u201cTrain Kept a Rollin\u2019\u201d and \u201cWalk This Way.\u201d He also covered Led Zeppelin\u2019s song \u201cWhole Lotta Love.\u201d<\/p>\n
