Elise Elliott will be going from TV presenter to nurse in the coming weeks when husband Tom undergoes a second hip replacement.<\/p>\n

3AW broadcaster Elliott had a week off air in March when he underwent the first surgery.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe had one (operation) six weeks ago and he\u2019ll have another one in four to five weeks,\u2019\u2019 Elise said.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019ll be the bionic man. <\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s given up the surfboard for now but the recovery has been going well.\u201d<\/p>\n

Tom was hacked on X <\/a>while he was on leave but is now back on track.<\/p>\n

One person who won\u2019t be filling in for him is Tony Jones, the Channel 9 sport newsreader who marked 40 years at the network this week.<\/p>\n

Jones who had a long stint filling in over the summer and survey breaks, says he needs a break from the dual roles.<\/p>\n

\u201cAfter last year\u2019s grand final Tom took a week off and by the Tuesday I started clock watching,\u2019\u2019 Jones said.<\/p>\n

\u201cI love radio and I\u2019ll still contribute but I need to take the summer off.\u201d<\/p>\n

Meanwhile Elise is making waves in the automotive world.<\/p>\n

She will host an upcoming all women\u2019s show called Lady Torque alongside Tegan Martin for 7mate and in between will hit the water at Urbnsurf with her daughter Ava. <\/p>\n

She is the voice for the facility in Tullamarine where she learnt to ride a board.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy dream Mother\u2019s Day is a surf with my girl, and a drive in my 68 Mustang,\u2019\u2019 Elise said.<\/p>\n

\u201cSurfing brings me joy and so do cars.
