\u201cI don\u2019t understand it, but we had to be tougher through that period. We defended great for a couple of minutes after that and then after 10 plays or so we let in just a soft try. <\/p>\n

Bulldogs skipper Stephen Crichton admitted the edge defence from the team is letting down the middle forwards. <\/p>\n

\u201cI mean we\u2019re doing a really good job locking up the middle and our edges just aren\u2019t paying our middles back. <\/p>\n
\u201cThey work really hard to get back behind the ball and things like that and just on the edges with our edge defence not making our tackles and just not getting try saves. <\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s a few opportunities there where we could have saved it and three missed tackles led into a try, so just little plays like that where we pride ourselves on that stuff and just down one side on that just a bit of soft.\u201d <\/p>\n
Ciraldo interjected: \u201cWe\u2019re just hesitating, we\u2019re flinching and at our best we don\u2019t flinch,\u201d Ciraldo said. <\/p>\n

Sean O\u2019Sullivan came in for Matt Burton after an illness and looked solid at the start, before the momentum swing and Ciraldo conceded he may have to make changes, but stressed discipline is the key to turning the club\u2019s fortunes around. <\/p>\n
\u201cHe got thrown in at lunchtime which is not ideal for him, but he\u2019s an experienced player and there are some really good signs about what they were doing in the first half,\u201d Ciraldo said. \u201cBut it\u2019s a little bit hard for anyone when you\u2019re at 75 per cent possession in a 40 minute period against you so there\u2019s that.\u201d <\/p>\n
