When he fell, the arm was already broken.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">These are the comments from Mamelodi Sundowns coach Miguel Cardoso who has accused Kaizer Chiefs of not setting up to play football during their brutal <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sowetan.co.za\/sport\/2026-05-06-advantage-pirates-in-title-race-as-chiefs-hold-sundowns-in-tense-clash\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.sowetan.co.za\/sport\/2026-05-06-advantage-pirates-in-title-race-as-chiefs-hold-sundowns-in-tense-clash\/\">1-1 draw<\/a> at Loftus Versfeld Stadium on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Cardoso claimed Siphesihle Ndlovu\u2019s challenge on Keanu Cupido, which ended his season, was worse than Jayden Adams\u2019 tackle on Mduduzi Shabalala, which saw him sent off \u2014 but Ndlovu didn\u2019t see a red card.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Chiefs have confirmed that Shabalala is in hospital, while Adams wished him a speedy recovery.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">\u201cThat is different from what happened to the player [Mduduzi Shabalala] from Kaizer Chiefs because there is an action that is a correct yellow card on Jayden. But when he falls, he gets injured in the arm. That is completely different.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Cardoso feels Chiefs were not there to play football but to kick his players, saying they did the same when they played <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sowetan.co.za\/sport\/2026-04-27-pirates-coach-chiefs-played-karate-not-football\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.sowetan.co.za\/sport\/2026-04-27-pirates-coach-chiefs-played-karate-not-football\/\">Orlando Pirates<\/a> last month.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The Soweto derby ended in a 1-1 stalemate.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Bucs\u2019 coach Abdeslam Ouaddou criticised Amakhosi and blasted their tactics.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">\u201cWe must protect the players who are willing to play football because what I\u2019ve seen today, I don\u2019t know if I can call it a football game or karate,\u201d said Ouaddou.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">\u201cI don\u2019t want to disrespect other sports, but today was not a football game.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Sowetan<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"\u201cWhen he fell, the arm was already [broken].
