Raddatz is coming off an impressive stint in last year’s Indian F4, collecting multiple top-10 finishes while competing against Queensland teen Annabel Kennedy<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n Motorsport’s 20yo trailblazer driving change with all-female team<\/a><\/p>\n Imogen Radburn is leading Australia’s first all-female car racing team passionate about motorsport.<\/p>\n The Kyojo Cup is a single-make racing series, where all drivers will compete in identical cars.<\/p>\n All five rounds will be held at the Fuji Speedway, made up of one sprint race and one feature race per weekend.\u00a0<\/p>\n Ciconte and Raddatz both participated in the Kyojo Cup auditions in December, where their performances earned them contracts for the 2026 season.\u00a0<\/p>\n Joanne Ciconte will compete for KCMG in the Kyojo Cup. (Supplied)<\/p>\n Ciconte has joined Hong Kong-based team KCMG and has said she is ready to embrace the new challenge in Japan.<\/p>\n “The Kyojo Cup cars are faster and quite different to the F1 Academy cars,” she said.<\/p>\n “Driving and testing the cars might take me a while to get used to, but I am in full confidence with the team, and I’m really excited to get back on track.”<\/p>\n The Kyojo Cup is the first step of what Ciconte hopes will be a successful venture into Japan.<\/p>\n The teenager told ABC Sport in March<\/a> that she had set her sights on the revered Super Formula series, which has been used as a launch pad for current Formula 1 drivers Liam Lawson and Pierre Gasly.<\/p>\n Ahead of this weekend’s opening round of the Kyojo Cup, Ciconte said her main goal this season was to continue her growth as a racer.<\/p>\n “Rather than an expectation, my goal for this year is competing in the top five, and I am hoping to secure some podiums. I feel like that would be great as a team,” she said.<\/p>\n “As a driver, I’d like to focus on my development, learning as quick as I can and see my progress.”<\/p>\n Paige Raddatz has transitioned to open-wheel cars from kart racing.
