Taylor Heinicke<\/a> is\u00a0calling it a career. The popular veteran quarterback\u00a0stated\u00a0as much on his Instagram profile on Thursday evening, with a Reel featuring highlights from several different spots.<\/p>\n

While he represented seven franchises and played games for five teams during his seven-year NFL career, his best work came\u00a0in\u00a0Washington<\/a>. Heinicke played three seasons for the franchise, compiling a 12-11-1 record<\/a>,\u00a0including five fourth-quarter comebacks.\u00a0with\u00a0a 2021 campaign where he was the team\u2019s primary starter.\u00a0He started a playoff game for Washington at the end of the 2020 season, losing that contest to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers<\/a>.<\/p>\n

An undrafted free agent out of Old Dominion, Heinicke also played for the Panthers<\/a>, Falcons, Chargers<\/a> and Texans. He\u2019ll be remembered fondly in Washington with some great moments<\/a> playing for the franchise.<\/p>\n
