Ever since Ellen DeGeneres<\/a> and Portia de Rossi<\/a> made a surprising move to the UK, leaving behind virtually everything in the US besides their animals, people have wanted to know what\u2019s going on behind closed doors. While the pair were in the US, they were buying and selling houses left and right, constantly in motion; but now, insiders claim all of that changed.<\/p>\n

Insiders recently spoke to UsWeekly <\/a>about how their lives are nowhere near the hustle and bustle it used to be, saying, \u201cIt\u2019s a different lifestyle for her. She\u2019s very chill and in her element.\u201d (This totally checks out since they mainly post about lawn upkeep<\/a> and what their animals are doing on the property!)<\/p>\n

To be fair, they did move from their original Cotswolds property<\/a>, Kitesbridge Farm, into a 10,000-square-foot home called Hiaven, but that was to accommodate all of their animals, not to make a huge profit like before.<\/p>\n

For those who don\u2019t know, DeGeneres and Rossi met back in 2001 at a Rock the Vote concert. However, they didn\u2019t get together until 2004. When they reconnected in 2004, they split with their respective partners, and they started dating. The pair later got engaged, and married in Aug 2008<\/a>.<\/p>\n

After Donald Trump\u2019s victory in the 2024 U.S. presidential election, DeGeneres and Rossi left all of their California properties<\/a> behind to move to the UK, later confirming the election was the reason why.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe got here the day before the election and woke up to lots of texts from our friends with crying emojis, and I was like, \u2018He got in.\u2019 And we\u2019re like, \u2018We\u2019re staying here,’\u201d she said, confirming they\u2019re done with the US<\/a>. \u201cWe moved here in November, which was not the ideal time, but I saw snow for the first time in my life. We love it here. Portia flew her horses here, and I have chickens, and we had sheep for about two weeks.\u201d<\/p>\n
