We never stole a dollar.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a id=\"continued\" class=\"continued-anchor\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Santana and fellow officer Jason Smith reportedly cracked the Miami Lakes drug case in 2016 and seized over $20M in the bust.<\/p>\n<p>But Santana says he\u2019s been getting accused of stealing money ever since Matt and Ben\u2019s movie dropped in January &#8230; and the lawsuit alleges it paints the cops as crooked.<\/p>\n<p>Santana\u2019s lawyer, Ignacio Alvarez, says the film hurt his clients\u2019 reps, saying &#8230; \u201cThey portrayed police officers as dirty, they portrayed my clients as dirty.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The suit also says Smith and Santana should\u2019ve been paid as consultants on the movie &#8230; arguing that producers instead brought on a different cop they say didn\u2019t even work on the bust.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"MDSO Deputies to Ben Affleck &amp; Matt Damon You Ruined Our Reputation!!!
