There\u2019s no shortage of questions about the Miami Dolphins<\/a>\u2019 2026 rookie class. One of the biggest got an interesting update on Friday.<\/p>\n

There are no shortage of storylines for the Miami Dolphins<\/a>\u2018 2026 NFL Draft class. <\/p>\n

But one of the biggest looming questions? When will we see wide receiver Chris Bell in the fray and on the field amid a return from a late 2025 ACL injury<\/a>? Miami drafted three total wide receivers last month –\u00a0Bell is the most unique of the bunch. At his best, he is a locomotive with the ball in his hands and a rare size\/speed threat. The Dolphins<\/a> were the team to end his slide to the end of Day 2, but general manager Jon-Eric Sullivan conceded the team wanted to bring Bell back the right way. <\/p>\n

We still don\u2019t know the details for Bell\u2019s timeline. But we do know, thanks to the Sun-Sentinel\u2019s David Furones, that he was out on the field on Friday at rookie minicamp<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Expectations for Chris Bell should still be responsibly tempered until we get some official word on his recovery timeline. The Dolphins are, after all, playing the long game here with their potential standout. But knowing that Bell is in a place to be present with his teammates for their joint first steps as players is still something to be considered a win. <\/p>\n

There will be no shortage of options for players to fill snaps at receiver for Miami early in 2026. Rookies or otherwise. Perhaps the most notable impact of Bell\u2019s injury will be the missed time on task that would otherwise be spent establishing rapport with new quarterback Malik Willis<\/a>. He\u2019ll need to find a way to bridge that gap. The process play itself out in good time. But for now, Bell can enjoy the win of hitting the field with the rest of his rookie teammates.<\/p>\n
