T\ufeffhe Princess of Wales<\/a> has urged people to “simply love, and be loved” in a new video project which began during her recovery from cancer<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Catherine said: “Our lives flourish when we cherish the bonds of love and friendship”.<\/p>\n

It was the second instalment in the Mother Nature series<\/a> which will see a video released every quarter to coincide with the seasons.\ufeff<\/p>\n

The project was inspired by the healing power of nature and was launched by the princess months after announcing she was in remission from cancer<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In a personal note introducing the clip, titled Summer, Catherine wrote: \ufeff”Our lives flourish when we cherish the bonds of love and friendship.<\/p>\n

“It has never been more important to appreciate the value of one another, and of Mother Nature. Here’s to Summer. C.”<\/p>\n

The Northern Hemisphere is currently in the peak of summer and temperatures have soared across parts of the UK in recent weeks.<\/p>\n

\ufeffThe 1:42 minute clip\ufeff does not feature the Prince and Princess of Wales, or their three children.<\/p>\n

But it was commissioned, created and voiced by Kate during her recovery from cancer and chemotherapy.<\/p>\n

In her narration Kate said: “Summer is a season for abundance. Just as the flowers bloom and the fruits ripen, we too are reminded of our own potential for growth. It is the time to ignite our inner fire and explore our own creativity, passions, and dreams.<\/p>\n

“As we bask in the sunlit hours, friends and families come together; playing, connecting, being present. Embracing the joy to be found in even the most fleeting of moments and shared experiences.<\/p>\n

“Our lives flourish when we cherish the bonds of love and friendship.<\/p>\n

“So open your hearts; sing, dance, play. The days are still long, so simply love, and be loved.”<\/p>\n

The video was filmed by Will Warr, who also created the first in the series and who has taken official photos of the Wales family through the years.<\/p>\n

Prince William and Kate, and their children, are currently on summer holidays.<\/p>\n

They will soon travel to Balmoral Castle<\/a>, in the Scottish Highlands, to join King Charles and Queen Camilla for part of the summer break as per tradition.<\/p>\n

In early September, the family will return to Windsor for the beginning of the new school year<\/a>.\ufeff<\/p>\n

The princess has previously detailed how she found solace when spending time outside during her cancer journey.<\/p>\n

Nature has always been a key part of Kate’s work and \ufeffshe’s long championed the importance of spending time outdoors, particularly when it comes with children’s development and growth<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The first episode in the series, titled Spring, was released in May and saw the princess speak about “hope and new beginnings”.<\/p>\n

“Over the past year, nature has been my sanctuary,” Kate said.<\/p>\n

She and Prince William<\/a> featured throughout the first first video, seen walking together on the Isle of Mull where they celebrated their 14th wedding anniversary<\/a> in late April, along with the sweeping shots of the British coastline, urban parks and the streets of London.<\/p>\n
