\u201cI guess we\u2019re just going to have some days off. We\u2019re going to spend it on recovery. That\u2019s the plan I believe for now.\u201d<\/p>\n
The 27-year-old Belarusian also shared her thoughts on Cirstea, who is set to retire at the end of the season.<\/p>\n
\u201cShe\u2019s a fighter. It\u2019s kind of like it\u2019s sad to see her leaving because I feel like she\u2019s one of those players that\u2019s fighting no matter what,\u201d Sabalenka said.<\/p>\n
\u201cI felt like she could stay for longer. It\u2019s her choice. We all respect that. I just wish her the best season to finish her career.\u201d<\/p>\n
After the match, Cirstea was asked if this was the best win of her career.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s very hard to say this is the best win because I\u2019ve had wonderful wins in my career,\u201d Cirstea said.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019ve always been a player that on a good day I could beat anyone. I don\u2019t like to make a ranking and say which match was the best.<\/p>\n
\u201cAbsolutely, it\u2019s a match that I\u2019m happy with. What I\u2019m the happiest about is the way I played. I think second set and third set, I played quite high level.<\/p>\n
\u201cI was really, like, following the plan. Also, like I said, winning the match on my terms. This made me happy.<\/p>\n
\u201cOf course, it\u2019s going to be an important win. I\u2019ve had quite a few that I treasure through the years.\u201d<\/p>\n
