After Ryan Borucki (1-1) stranded the potential go-ahead run at third base in both the 11th and 12th, the Giants finally ended the marathon affair after Pirates right fielder Ryan O\u2019Hearn couldn\u2019t track down Matt Chapman\u2019s fly ball for a double, allowing automatic runner Heliot Ramos to take third base with one out. After Drew Gilbert was walked intentionally to load the bases, rookie Rodriguez singled off Justin Lawrence.<\/p>\n
Willy Adames had three hits, while Rafael Devers, Jung Hoo Lee, Ramos and Chapman chipped in two hits each for San Francisco, which out-hit the Pirates 13-7.<\/p>\n
Spencer Horwitz totaled three RBI on his two doubles for Pittsburgh, which completed a 3-3 Western swing.<\/p>\n

BALTIMORE — Dylan Beavers stroked a go-ahead single in the sixth innings and four Baltimore pitchers combined for a four-hitter to salvage the final game of their series with a win against the Athletics.<\/p>\n
Beavers and Gunnar Henderson notched two hits each for the Orioles. Chris Bassitt (3-2) struck out six and allowed one run in six innings. Rico Garcia earned the save.<\/p>\n
Athletics starter Luis Severino (2-4) allowed two runs and six hits in 5\u2153 innings. First baseman Nick Kurtz drew an eighth-inning walk to extend his on-base streak to 34 games, the longest active mark in the majors.<\/p>\n

MIAMI — Heriberto Hernandez delivered a two-run single to cap a three-run eighth, allowing Miami to hold on for a win against Washington in the rubber match of their three-game series.<\/p>\n

Junior Caminero\u2019s solo homer in the first opened the scoring, and a two-run second extended a lead the Rays would not relinquish. TORONTO — Jose Soriano retired 20 consecutive batters, Jo Adell homered twice with a double and Los Angeles defeated Toronto to salvage one game from the weekend series.<\/p>\n
Soriano (6-2) allowed one run on five hits in 7\u2154 innings, Oswald Peraza added a two-run homer and Vaughn Grissom contributed a two-run double for the Angels, who exploded for six runs in the final five innings after managing one through the first 22 innings of the series.<\/p>\n
Daulton Varsho went 2-for-4 and scored the lone run for the Blue Jays, who got four scoreless innings from their first two pitchers before Eric Lauer (1-5) allowed six runs on five hits in five innings.<\/p>\n

PHILADELPHIA — Kyle Schwarber and Bryce Harper hit back-to-back homers in the first inning, part of a two-homer day for Schwarber, and Philadelphia beat Colorado.<\/p>\n
Schwarber finished with three hits and Brandon Marsh had four singles for the Phillies, who have won 10-of-13 games since Don Mattingly was named interim manager April 28. Cristopher Sanchez (4-2) pitched seven strong innings to stretch his shutout streak to 21\u2153 innings. He hasn\u2019t allowed a run since the first inning April 30 against San Francisco.<\/p>\n

CINCINNATI — Andrew Abbott worked six three-hit innings, Elly De La Cruz recorded a three-hit game, and Cincinnati claimed the rubber match of a three-game interleague series against Houston.<\/p>\n
The Reds broke open the scoring in the fourth against Kai-Wei Teng (1-3) on a two-run triple from JJ Bleday and an RBI single from Tyler Stephenson. Spencer Steer closed the scoring with his seventh homer to give Abbott (2-2) an easy victory.<\/p>\n
The Astros never had a runner reach scoring position, with slugger Yordan Alvarez going 0-for-4 with four strikeouts. Teng allowed three runs on five hits before Cody Bolton allowed two more runs in two innings.<\/p>\n

CLEVELAND — Kody Clemens had three hits, including two doubles, and scored twice to spark Minnesota to a win against Cleveland.<\/p>\n

CHICAGO — Randal Grichuk hit a tying home run leading off the bottom of the eighth inning and Chicago went on to defeat Seattle.<\/p>\n
Grichuk greeted reliever Eduard Bazardo (2-2) with a home run that just cleared the left-field wall. Drew Romo followed with a double and advanced to third on a sacrifice bunt by Sam Antonacci. The Mariners intentionally walked Munetaka Murakami, but Miguel Vargas thwarted that plan with a flyball. Randy Arozarena\u2019s throw to the plate sailed over Cal Raleigh, allowing Romo to slide home safely with the go-ahead run.<\/p>\n
Mariners starter Logan Gilbert allowed one hit in six scoreless innings. Arozarena drove in Seattle\u2019s only run.<\/p>\n

MILWAUKEE — Brice Turang\u2019s two-out homer in the ninth inning off New York closer David Bednar lifted Milwaukee to a walk-off win and a sweep of the three-game series.<\/p>\n
Bednar (1-3) relieved to open the ninth and struck out the first two hitters before Turang lined the first pitch 411 feet to center field for his sixth homer and first career walk-off. Abner Uribe (2-1) got the win with a scoreless ninth.<\/p>\n
Yankees starter Carlos Rodon, activated off the injured list Sunday for his season debut following surgery last October, allowed three runs on two hits with four strikeouts. But the left-hander walked five with a hit batter and wild pitch in a 78-pitch outing. Aaron Judge staked the Yankees to a 1-0 lead in the first with his league-leading 16th homer.<\/p>\n

ARLINGTON, Texas — Jacob deGrom struck out 10 during seven scoreless innings and Evan Carter belted a two-run homer, fueling Texas to its second straight shutout of Chicago.<\/p>\n
DeGrom (3-2) scattered three hits — two to Nico Hoerner — and did not walk a batter to record his 99th career win. Josh Jung collected three of the Rangers\u2019 seven hits and scored two runs.<\/p>\n

Elder (4-1) allowed one hit while striking out eight and walking four for the Braves, who finished 6-3 on their road trip. Drake Baldwin and Matt Olson connected on solo home runs as Atlanta improved its MLB-leading record to 28-13.<\/p>\n
