Just last week, Irwin took to Instagram with a gripping trailer showing him running through the wilderness. Even without giving much away, it boasted all the elements that guaranteed a night out at the IMAX theatre. <\/p>\n

Had an absolute blast making this #ad with @columbia1938.\u201d<\/p>\n Argh, ROBERT!<\/p>\n MORE: \u2018I\u2019m out\u2019: Irwin\u2019s huge fear amid quitting Aus<\/a><\/p>\n While my initial reaction was sheer disappointment, the ad is indeed clever and fun – everything you\u2019d expect from the loveable larrikin. <\/p>\n Fans online were captivated by the entire spectacle – from the giant inflatable crocodiles chasing him and theatrical narration right down to the closing cameo by his real-life crocodile, Stella.<\/p>\n \u201cThis is gold,\u201d one person celebrated. <\/p>\n \u201cThis is more adorable than I imagined,\u201d another agreed. <\/p>\n Another added: \u201cI did not see the inflatable crocs coming – incredible lol.\u201d<\/p>\n To be fair, no one did. <\/p>\n The quirky idea for an advertisement even had other brands who have worked with the famous Aussie a tad envious. <\/p>\n Bonds, who famously went viral for stripping Irwin of his khakis for a racy underwear campaign<\/a> in April last year piped up with their thoughts, saying: \u201cstop this is too good.\u201d<\/p>\n OK fine!
