Australian actress Harriet Dyer has publicly slammed the producers of The Devil Wears Prada, calling the edit for her real-life husband\u2019s character \u201cbrutal\u201d. <\/p>\n
Dyer\u2019s husband, Patrick Brammall plays Peter in the film, the love interest of Anne Hathaway\u2019s character, Andy. <\/p>\n
The character has received widespread criticism, with many comparing him to Andy\u2019s boyfriend in the original film who has become a long running joke within pop culture over the last two decades. <\/p>\n
Dyer\u2019s remarks came after she stumbled across a Cosmo article titled: \u201cAndy\u2019s one-dimensional boyfriend in \u2018Devil Wears Prada 2\u2019 is an insult to single women everywhere\u201d.<\/p>\n
\u201cPeter, played by Patrick Brammall, is as one-dimensional as they come,\u201d the journalist remarked, theorising that instead of risking a repeat of the love interest becoming the villain like in the first film, \u201cit seems like the creators of the sequel decided to swap Nate for a paper-thin man whose sole function is to remind us that employed, single men do exist.\u201d<\/p>\n
Brammall\u2019s wife and Colin From Accounts co-creator, Dyer, rushed to the comments to defend her real-life husband and slam the movie\u2019s \u201cbrutal\u201d edit of his character. <\/p>\n
\u201cMean post. They cut scenes out. The edit is brutal,\u201d Dyer insisted. \u201cI liked him. And I married him,\u201d she said. <\/p>\n
Her comments come after Dyer reacted to footage of her husband calling his The Devil Wears Prada 2, co-star Anne Hathaway, the \u201cworld\u2019s most beautiful\u201d<\/a>.<\/p>\n Stream Colin From Accounts on BINGE<\/a>, available on Hubbl<\/a>.<\/p>\n In a playful video montage shared on Instagram, the actress began the video with a clip of Brammall on the red carpet gushing about his co-star while promoting their new film.<\/p>\n \u201cPlaying someone who has fallen in love with Anne Hathaway?
